Oil prices increase for the fourth consecutive day, petrol 40 paise and diesel 45 paise per liter expensive
New Delhi: Oil companies raised the price of petrol by 40 paise per liter and diesel by 45 paise per liter on Wednesday. Petrol-diesel has become expensive for the fourth consecutive day after the price review was postponed for 82 days. According to the notification of government oil marketing companies, the price of petrol in Delhi has increased from Rs 73.00 to Rs 73.40 per liter, while the price of diesel has increased from Rs 71.17 to Rs 71.62 per liter.
Rates have risen across the country although these prices will be different in every state due to local taxes and VAT. This is the rate hike for the fourth consecutive day. Oil companies on Sunday began a reshuffle in line with costs after postponing the review of prices for 82 days. In this way, petrol has become costlier by Rs 2.14 per liter and diesel by Rs 2.23 per liter in four days.
