New Delhi: Titan Company said on Wednesday that its business had been strong during the March quarter, as the impact of Kovid on consumer sentiment had begun to decline since January. The company said its earnings grew strongly by 60 percent during the March 2021 quarter. This happened due to the low base of the March 2020 quarter. Similarly, in the months of January and February, it grew by 36 percent over the same period of the previous year.
Titan reported that the company has achieved strong growth since the beginning of the quarter under review, with Kovid's impact on consumer sentiment declining. The company said that it registered strong growth in the fourth quarter after the best results so far in the third quarter. During this time, the jewelery segment saw the fastest growth, while the rest of the sections also saw good improvement.
