Cairo: Egypt's Egyptair has temporarily suspended the operation of four Boeing 777-200 aircraft after a Boeing aircraft engine malfunction in the US. In a statement issued here, Egyptair said that aircraft operated by Pratt & Whitney 4000-112 engines are being removed from service until proper inspection protocols are identified.
The company said the Boeing 777-300 aircraft would continue operating. These aircraft have different types of engines. Boeing later recommended that aircraft with specific engine model 777s be temporarily removed from the airline. The Boeing 777 aircraft (United Airlines Flight 328) carrying more than 230 people from Denver to Honolulu had to return on Saturday due to an engine malfunction. The aircraft was able to land safely but the debris of the plane fell on the Denver suburb of Broomfield
