Pak eager to recognize Taliban government, Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province appeals to Imran

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan has come out openly in favor of the Taliban government in Afghanistan. The government of this province said that it has full support for recognizing the Taliban government. "We (Pakistan) should give recognition and full support to the Taliban government," the province's housing minister Amjad Ali Khan was quoted as saying by Pakistani newspaper DAN on Wednesday. He urged the federal government of the country to recognize the Taliban government.

Amjad Ali Khan claimed that Afghan citizens have welcomed the Taliban. The minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has appealed to the world community to restore humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. Let us tell you that Pakistan has played an important role in the return of Taliban to power in Afghanistan. He has urged the world to establish association with the government of this organization.

On the other hand, America has taken a tough stand against Pakistan after the interference of the Imran government in the process of formation of the Taliban government and its ties with terrorist organizations were exposed. The US has decided to review relations with Pakistan afresh. This could further worsen relations between the US and Pakistan. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned Pakistan not to be hasty in recognizing the Taliban.

By the way, Pakistan's love for Taliban is well known. Recently, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi defended his government amid questions being raised around the world about the Taliban government in Afghanistan. He said that the world needs to think about Afghanistan from a new and positive perspective. The consequences of isolating Afghanistan will be dire for the region and the world. Qureshi also appealed to the world for help to save Afghanistan's economy from collapse.
