International Desk: To help India struggling with Corona, Sweden, a small country with a population of only 1.25 billion, has also extended its helping hand. Sweden plans to donate 1 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to India under the UN-backed "Kovacs" campaign. Corona virus vaccines are made available to countries under this campaign. International Development Cooperation Minister Per Olson Frid announced Monday on Sweden's broadcaster SVT to donate 1 million vaccines to India.
He said, "We are seeing that people are dying in the world due to the epidemic, poverty is spreading and children are still not able to go to school." We must take every step possible in the fight against this pandemic around the world. "Sweden's vaccine coordinator Richard Bergstrom said that Sweden has more vaccines available than necessary. He said, "This is only 10 lakhs .... We have 40 to 50 lakh additional AstraZeneca vaccines, which we can share later."
