There has been a threat to block the SIM card in Pakistan for not getting the vaccine. This decision was taken by the Punjab Government of Pakistan on Thursday.

According to media reports, during a meeting chaired by Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Health Minister of Punjab province in Pakistan, it was decided that the SIM cards of those who do not get the vaccine will be blocked. Civil and military officers were present in the meeting. During the meeting, the officials decided that walk-in vaccination will be started for people above 18 years of age from June 12. Let us tell you that by the end of December this year, Pakistan has set a target to vaccinate 70 million people.

The provincial government will set up mobile vaccination camps outside shrines across the province and vaccinate people with cancer and AIDS on a priority basis. The government said that people will be able to attend cinema, restaurants and weddings only after getting the vaccine. The decision comes at a time when the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) announced the opening of walk-in vaccination facility for all citizens above 18 from Friday, June 11.
