Bhubaneswar On Wednesday, 110 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Odisha and with this the total number of infections has increased to 3,250. An official of the Health Department said that 97 cases of new cases have been connected to separate centers where people returned from other states have been kept. Apart from this, 13 cases are related to people exposed to infected people. He said that new cases have come from 17 districts. 33 cases have been reported from Jagatsinghpur district, 20 from Cuttack, 14 from Khurda, 11 from Gajapati and seven from Puri.
Apart from these, four cases each from Raigad, Nayagarh, Kalahandi and Mayurbhanj, two from Bargarh and one each from Jharsuguda, Bhadrak, Bolangir, Kendrapada, Koraput, Keonjhar and Boudh districts have been reported. At present there are 1,106 cases of infection in the state while 2,133 people have become infection free after treatment. The official said nine people have died due to infection in the state. The infection was confirmed in two other patients but died due to other causes. A total of 3,026 samples were examined on Tuesday. So far 1,85,410 samples have been tested in the state.
