Agartala:Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb said that 26 new cases of Kovid-19 have been reported after which the total number of infected in the state has reached 867. Of the latest cases, 18 are from Sepahijala district, six from Tripura South and two from Khowai. Deb said in a tweet that 1,450 samples were tested, of which 26 were found infected. Treatment of 675 people is going on in the state and 192 patients have recovered from the disease so far.
All these patients are being treated at GB Pant Hospital and other Kovid-19 medical centers in the state. On Tuesday, a 42-year-old man died in Agartala. This is the first death in the state from Kovid-19. According to the statement released late Tuesday, the State Health Department has so far conducted 38,573 investigations.
