After Maharashtra, there is shortage of corona vaccine in Odisha, 700 vaccination centers closed

National Desk: On the one hand, the central government is claiming to have adequate vaccine throughout the country, on the other hand, vaccination campaign has been stopped in many states due to lack of vaccine. After Maharashtra, there have been reports of closure of 700 vaccination centers in Odisha. Odisha's Health Minister Nab Kishore Das has written a letter to the central government demanding the vaccine.
Odisha's Health Minister says that there are 5.34 lakh doses left in the state so far. 2.5 lakh vaccines are being given daily, so we have stock for the next two days. He said that vaccination would have to be stopped if vaccine doses were not supplied for two days. Out of 1400, 700 vaccination centers have already been closed. The Health Minister said that we hope vaccines will be sent soon.
Apart from Odisha, Maharashtra, Haryana and several states have claimed that they have lacked vaccine. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the state has only 14 lakh doses of Corona vaccine left, which will last only three days and many vaccination centers have to be closed due to lack of vaccines. People coming to such vaccination centers are being sent back, because the vaccine doses have not been supplied.
Tope said that we need 40 lakh doses every week. With this, we will be able to give six lakh doses every day in a week. Not enough vaccines have been found. ”Tope said that the state government was vaccinating four lakh people a day in the past. On the other hand, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardh claimed that there is no shortage of anti-Kovid vaccine in the country.
