National Desk: Delhi AIIMS director Randeep Gulelia told a press conference on Monday that home isolation patients are not required to undergo CT scan. A CT scan is not required if the corona has mild symptoms. One CT scan is equivalent to 300 X-rays.
Guleria said that repeated CT scans may increase the risk of cancer later. Repeated CT scans may increase the risk of cancer at a young age. CT scan, bio-markers should be done only on the advice of a doctor. If in doubt, first get chest X-ray done, then get CT scan done. Do not take steroids if you have mild symptoms. AIIMS director Guleria further said that if there are mild symptoms, there is no fever, then there is no panic.

Dr. Randeep Guleria said that 'Nowadays too many people are doing CT scans. When CT scan is not needed, by doing it, you are hurting yourself more because you are bringing yourself in contact with radiation. This can increase the chances of getting cancer later. '
