Another gift from PM Modi to Bengal, today will inaugurate Super Specialty Hospital

National Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee Institute of Medical Sciences and Research at IIT Kharagpur today through video conference. According to information provided by the Prime Minister's Office, Modi will also address the 66th convocation ceremony of IIT Kharagpur.
The hospital, co-founded by the Ministry of Education,
Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Institute of Medical Sciences and Research is a super specialty hospital, which has been developed by the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. The hospital has 650 beds, which has cost Rs 250 crore to build. Special attention has been paid to strong biomedical, clinical and translational research, development of remote diagnostics, telemedicine, teleradiology as well as manufacturing and distribution of medicines in the hospital.
In many ways,
this super specialty hospital has been built by IIT Kharagpur with the support of the Ministry of Special Education. This hospital is important in many ways. New technology has been used in this. The Governor of West Bengal, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and Union Minister of State for Education will also be present on the occasion.
Many railway projects inaugurated
in Bengal The Prime Minister inaugurated several railway projects in West Bengal on Monday. He inaugurated the extension of Kolkata Metro Railway from Noapara to Dakshineswar and flagged off the first train on this section. He also inaugurated the third line between Kalaikunda and Jhargram.
