Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday termed the panchayat election results in Uttar Pradesh as a clear indication of the sinking of the BJP's boat in the upcoming assembly elections, saying that the BJP's dream of forming a 'third engine' government in the villages Has been shattered. Akhilesh said in a statement here that the SP has been the first priority party of the voters in the panchayat elections and the SP's victory in large numbers is a clear indication that its acceptance among farmers, youth and even the village remains intact. He said that the people have also done a commendable job of saving democracy by winning the party.
The SP President said that the message that is being received from the results of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayati elections will also prove to be a direction indicator for the Assembly elections to be held in the year 2022. BJP rule in Uttar Pradesh is certain to be eliminated. The results of the panchayat elections gave clear indications of the sinking of the BJP's boat. He alleged, "The BJP, in its nature of making false promises, is not even in the panchayat elections. It is a fact that its dream of forming its own third-engineered government in the villages is badly shattered. The home districts of the state also have to face the mouth. "
Akhilesh said, "Apart from Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, no move of the BJP from Azamgarh to Etawah has worked, and even in the state capital Lucknow, the people have rejected the BJP."
