CM Hemant Soren to inaugurate Birsa Kisan Samman Samman in Latehar, KCC will be distributed among farmers
Preparations have been completed for the block level Birsa Kisan Sammelan ceremony at Latehar District Sports Stadium. Jharkhand government is organizing a mega camp in association with Agriculture Department SLBC to provide Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to the farmers on a large scale. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will inaugurate this program. During this visit, KCC will be distributed among the farmers. The Jharkhand government is trying to give strength to the farmers.
While addressing the press conference on Tuesday, Secretary of Agriculture Department Abu Bakr Siddiqui had told that efforts are being made continuously to provide farmers of Jharkhand with KCC due to the efforts of CM Hemant Soren and Agriculture Minister Badal. The secretary had also informed that on June 23, the Chief Minister would start the divisional mega camp in Latehar, in which the beneficiaries of Palamu, Garhwa, and Latehar would be included.
Apart from KCC distribution, the Chief Minister will also lay the foundation stone for many schemes and inaugurate welfare schemes. To make the program a success, District DC Abu Imran, SP Anjani Anjan is keeping an eye on the security, so that the farmers who come do not face any kind of trouble.
Let us tell you, under KCC in the state, interest is given to the farmers at the rate of 7 percent. Only seven farmers return the money on time, three percent of them are waived by the central government and three percent by the state government. Farmers have to repay the loan at 1% interest.
Significantly, the Jharkhand government is trying to strengthen the farmers of the Latehar district. KCC distribution will be done from Latehar to the Palamu division. Under this scheme, the KCC of 15 lakh farmers has been approved. Out of which, KCC of 14 lakh farmers is being made. At the same time, according to the Agriculture Secretary, the on-spot Kisan Credit Card will be approved for the deserving farmers. All the farmers have been asked to come to the camp with the necessary documents.
