Digvijay criticizes BJP rule in Gujarat after Morbi bridge accident

Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Sunday asked whether the collapse of the cable bridge over the Machhu river in Gujarat's Morbi district was a divine event or an act of fraud. At least 60 people died in this accident. Singh made several tweets on the incident. He was repeating the same sentence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he had used at a rally on March 31, 2016, taking a dig at the Mamata Banerjee-led government in West Bengal after the Vivekananda Road flyover collapsed in Kolkata.

Many people were killed in this incident. Referring to a 2016 news report, Singh tweeted, "Modi Ji Morbi bridge accident is a divine event or an act of fraud?" Days later it broke. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been in power in Gujarat for 27 years.

Singh claimed that the Narmada canal broke during the first day's trial in Bidra village of Kutch district in July this year, while an overbridge in Bhuj which took 8-9 years to be built, was opened for the common people a year after it was opened. Had to do repairs inside. Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, State BJP President VD Sharma, and State Congress President Kamal Nath expressed grief over the incident.
