New Delhi: The government said on Tuesday that it is exploring the possibility of conversion of nitrogen plants to produce oxygen. The Union Health Ministry said that the number of under-treated patients in 12 states is more than one lakh, while in seven states the number of patients is less than 50 thousand to one lakh and in 17 states it is less than 50 thousand.
According to the ministry, states like Delhi, Gujarat and Maharashtra are showing signs of decline in daily affairs, but in terms of analysis these are very early trends. The ministry said that the gap between the arrival of new patients of Kovid-19 and the recovery of old patients is a positive sign, but the challenges remain in the case of under-treated patients. The ministry said that a CT scan is similar to 300 to 400 chest X-rays. It is not needed in mild symptoms. Repeated scans at a young age can increase the risk of cancer.
According to the ministry, falling oxygen levels and extreme fatigue are signs that a Kovid patient living in isolation at home needs to be admitted to the hospital. The ministry said that 12 states have started applying Kovid-19 vaccines to people between 18 and 44 years from May 1.
