House proceedings adjourned due to heavy uproar in Parliament, a heated atmosphere over the national wife dispute

On the 10th day of the monsoon session of Parliament, the stalemate continued due to heavy uproar. In such a situation, the proceedings of both the houses have been adjourned till 11 am on August 1. Slogans of Sonia Gandhi apologize fiercely in the house. Opposition MPs as well as members of the ruling party raised slogans in the Rajya Sabha. The only difference was that the members of the opposition came near the podium and created a ruckus while the members of the ruling party stood in their places and raised slogans.

The opposition members were demanding an immediate discussion on the suspension of some of their colleagues, the death of several people due to spurious liquor in Gujarat, price rise, and other issues. The Presiding Vice-President repeatedly requested the rioting members to return to their places and allow the Question Hour to continue. He said that there are many important questions in Question Hour, which are useful for the public. He asked the members several times not to disrupt the Question Hour and return to their places so that the business could be transacted in the House.

Meanwhile, in the Parliament Council, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said in a conversation with the media persons that yesterday I was not given a chance to answer all the allegations against me in Parliament. The way Sonia Gandhi was targeted in Parliament yesterday... the government should apologize. I am at the center of this matter but BJP is attacking Sonia Gandhi.

Proceedings of Lok Sabha

The controversy over Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury's remarks has not stopped and the Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day after a one-time adjournment due to mutual allegations and counter-allegations and uproar between the ruling party and Congress members on this issue. After the one-time adjournment, when the meeting started at noon, the presiding chairman, Rajendra Agrawal, presented the necessary documents. During this, BJP members raised slogans about Sonia Gandhi's apology. The presiding chairman, Agrawal appealed to the ruckus members to sit in their places and let the proceedings proceed.

There should be a district hospital in every district

The government said that according to the Indian Public Health Standard-2022, every district should have at least one district hospital. According to the figures given by Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in a written reply to a question by Pratap Sinha and Tejashwi Surya in Lok Sabha, the number of districts hospitals in the country increased by only one from 2014-15 to 2020-21. Mandaviya said that as per IPHS 2022, every district should have at least one district hospital which should be actively operated to provide moderate health care services.

Are children getting infected with corona?

The government said that coronavirus infection in children is less severe than in adults. This was stated by the Minister of State for Health, Bharti Pawar in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha. He said that from January 1, 2022, to July 25, 2022, samples belonging to people up to the age of 18 years were tested. Thus, omicron or its sub-forms were found in 7,362 samples, while delta and its sub-forms were found in 118 samples. The minister was asked whether children are getting infected with the coronavirus and what is the status of vaccination for 12-18 and 5-12-year-olds.

On this, Bharti Pawar said that according to the World Health Organization, SARS-CoV-2 infection in children is less severe than in adults. According to him, till July 26 this year, 9.96 crore first doses (82.2 percent coverage) and 7.79 crore second doses (64.3 percent coverage) have been given to children in the age group of 12-18 years. He said that vaccination of children below 12 years of age has not started yet.

Significantly, since the start of the monsoon session on July 18, due to the uproar by the opposition members on various issues, there has been a continuous deadlock in the Upper House and there is no possibility of the deadlock coming to an end.
