Answer: It is clear in a study that due to the rapid increase in temperature, the soil is leaving the place to absorb carbon. An increase of 10 °C in temperature will eliminate more than 25 percent of the carbon reserves in the soil. This will have an effect on the Earth's climate. This is the main reason for the rise in temperature.
Question: Is pollution also a big reason for the rise in temperature?
Answer: Certainly pollution has a big role. Particulate matter (PM 2.5 and PM 10) also increases the temperature. Soils with large particles (PM 10) will release three times as much carbon as compared to fine particles (PM 2.5). Along with saving the ozone layer, particulate matter has to be controlled. Carbon, hydrocarbons, CO-2, etc. contained in the particulate matter, regulate the temperature by absorbing the heat.
Question: What is the role of Green House Effect?
Answer: A blanket is formed around the earth, which is called green house effect. The gases present in this blanket do not allow the reflected rays to go out of the earth's atmosphere. This increases the temperature. There is neither forest area in Ujjain nor there is a serious effort to control particulate matter. Serious work has to be done to reduce air pollution.
