IT department raids on 2 educational institutions in Bengaluru, Karnataka, know what is the matter

There have been allegations of tax evasion and collection of fees outside the educational institutions. When the Income Tax Department received complaints about some educational institutions in Bangalore, the department swung into action without delay. The Income Tax Department on Thursday raided several educational institutions in the city of Bengaluru. Two of these educational institutions were under the watch of the Income Tax Department for a long time. The Income Tax Department had started raids in the morning itself after fearing tax evasion on them. These raids are being carried out at several locations of educational institutions.


Raids continue since the morning
According to sources, Income Tax Department officials have been raiding Sri Krishnadevaraya Education Institute, Reva University and Divyashree Sansthan, and others in Bengaluru since morning. Different teams of the Income Tax Department are raiding different places. The raids were conducted at more than 10 places, both at corporate offices and educational institute buildings. In this raid, a team of I-T officers from Karnataka and Goa zones is conducting raids. A team of 250 officers of the Income Tax Department was involved in the action. Searches have also been conducted on the premises of prominent persons associated with these institutions. It is not yet known how long this raid will last.
What is the charge?
The Income Tax Department had received complaints that these educational institutions were charging exorbitant fees from foreign students. Apart from this, complaints have also been received that they are blocking seats and are involved in tax evasion. Now after this raid, the disturbances being done by these educational institutions will come to the fore.
