People in the national capital Delhi-NCR are troubled by the sultry heat. Due to the delay in monsoon, the temperature of Delhi-NCR has increased once again. At the same time, the rains are continuing in other parts of the country. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its latest update that there is a possibility of heavy rain and thundershower with wind speed reaching 30 to 40 kmph at isolated places over Bihar and West Uttar Pradesh.

The Meteorological Department has notified Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, West Bengal (Sub-Himalayan), Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gujarat, Maharashtra (central), Karnataka (coastal), and a heavy rain alert has been issued at different places of Kerala. Along with this, the IMD has also predicted heavy rains over different parts of Konkan and Goa.

According to the latest update of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in different parts of western Rajasthan on July 1. There is an alert of rain and thundershowers in West Uttar Pradesh on 28 June and 01 July and East Uttar Pradesh from 28 to 30 June. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh on 29th and 30th June and Uttarakhand from 27th to 29th.

It may rain in Delhi on Tuesday

Talking about the weather in Delhi, it was hot on Monday morning and the minimum temperature was recorded at 29.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal. The relative humidity stood at 62 percent at 8.30 am. The Meteorological Department has predicted a partly cloudy sky. The maximum temperature during this period is likely to be around 40 degrees Celsius. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of some relief to the people of Delhi from the heat due to the rains on Tuesday.

Alert issued for fishermen in coastal areas

Light rain and thundershowers with wind speeds reaching 30 to 40 kmph are very likely at isolated places over Bihar. Squally wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely along & along & off East Central & Northeast Arabian Sea, South Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka coasts. The IMD has also issued a warning to the fishermen, which has predicted strong winds reaching 50 to 60 kmph and 70 kmph in the southwest and the west-central of the Arabian Sea.
