Kathua: Opposition has been started by the government to hand over the water power department to the city council. On Monday, the personnel took P.H.E. A demonstration was staged in the office premises by the Kathua unit of Employees Association. The protesters led by Kuldeep Raj made it clear that if the order is not withdrawn, the workers will be forced to intensify the movement. Kuldeep Raj said that the unpaid salaries of the Delevectors have not been received since 70 months, the government has no policy to regulate them and the government is subordinating the department to the corporation itself.
He said that BJP representatives, including MPs, have given assurances of regularization by 15 January 2021, in which case the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory will also have to take steps regarding their interests. At the same time, Prince Singh, Khem Raj, Vijay Kumar, Shiv Ram, Ashwini Kumar etc. called upon all the workers to show solidarity about their interests and the government should also withdraw the order regarding the Department of Water Power under the Corporation.
