Owaisi furious over not allowing rally in electoral state, said-two faces of Trinamool in Delhi, some in Bengal
National Desk: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi's rally in Kolkata in West Bengal on Thursday was canceled due to non-clearance from police. Sources in the party said that Owaisi was to launch the party's campaign before the Bengal Assembly elections by holding a rally in the minority-dominated Metabiruj area.
Asaduddin Owaisi has flared up in the election state of West Bengal for not allowing the meeting. Owaisi said Trinamool MPs have two faces. He talks about freedom of expression, constitution and right to disagree in Parliament in Delhi, but vice versa in Bengal. I want to meet there, but why am I not being allowed?
Owaisi tweeted on Thursday that the state is yet to have a code of conduct. They are not allowing the meeting before that, so how will free and fair elections take place? Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, JP Nadda can rally, Congress, CPM and TMC can rally themselves, so why not us?
AIMIM chief Owaisi said that when the TMC MPs give speeches, secular and liberal people who clap, they should think on this. Due to not allowing the rally, the twofoldness and hollowness of TMC MPs has come to the fore.
AIMIM state secretary Jamir-ul-Hasan said that the police did not allow him for the rally. Hasan said, "We applied for permission 10 days ago, but today we were informed by the police that they will not allow us to rally. We will not bow down to such tactics of TMC. We will discuss and show the new program Will tell the date. " The Kolkata Police has refused to comment on the case. Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Saugat Roy denied his party's role in not getting permission for the rally.
