PM Modi will address the first audit day at the CAG headquarters today, know what is its purpose

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the first audit day on Tuesday at the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). According to an official release issued on Monday, Prime Minister Modi will also unveil a statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the CAG office on the occasion. Let us tell you that in view of the historic beginning of the CAG institution and its contribution to continuous governance, transparency and accountability over the years, Auditor's Day is being celebrated. The CAG of India will also be present on this occasion.

PM Modi has also made a tweet regarding this. It said that he will participate in the program to mark the audit day at 10:30 am on Tuesday. He has also written that its aim is to bring to the fore the contribution of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) in promoting transparency and good governance in the country.

It is worth noting that on this day the CAG was formed. So this program is going to be very special. In the year 2020, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu unveiled the statue of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution, at the CAG headquarters. A 9 feet tall statue of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi has also been installed in the CAG headquarters.
