PM Modi will launch digital health mission tomorrow, know how every person will have a different identity
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Prime Minister's Digital Health Mission on Monday through video conferencing. PM Modi had announced the pilot project of the National Digital Health Mission from the ramparts of the Red Fort on August 15, 2020. At present, the Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission (PM-DHM) is implemented in six Union Territories as a pilot project.

A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said that the nationwide launch of PM-DHM coincides with the third anniversary of the National Health Authority (NHA) Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). is celebrating. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will also be present at the launch of PM-DHM.
Reliability and privacy will be taken care of
Based on the foundation laid in the form of Jan Dhan, Aadhaar and Mobile (JAM), the government's digital initiative PM-DHM will be available as a seamless platform for the people to have access to detailed data, information and infrastructure facilities. Not only this, full care has also been taken about the security, reliability and privacy of health related information of the people. With the consent of the people, their documents can be viewed and shared.
Every person will have a different identity
Under PM-DHM, people will be given a health ID, which will be their identity. It will be like their account, in which they will be able to link their health records. Those records can be viewed through a mobile app. Healthcare Professionals Registries (HPRs) and Healthcare Facilities Registries (HFRs) will act as repositories for healthcare providers of modern and traditional systems of medicine. These will help doctors, hospitals and healthcare providers. People will be able to avail health services with a single click.
