All the political parties are busy preparing for the presidential election. Along with NDA, the name of the candidate has been announced by the opposition parties. Meanwhile, NDA's presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu has reached Delhi today. On reaching Delhi a little while ago, he was given a grand welcome at the airport. On the other hand, when Draupadi Murmu reached Delhi, other BJP leaders including the Union Minister held a courtesy meeting with her at the airport itself. Let us tell you that BJP President JP Nadda had announced to make Draupadi Murmu the NDA's presidential candidate. His name was announced after a BJP meeting. After the announcement of Draupadi Murmu's name, many other political parties including Biju Janata Dal, and Janata Dal-United have announced their support. Draupadi Murmu will file her nomination papers tomorrow. It is being told that during this time many big leaders of BJP will also be present with him.

The election will be held on July 18, counting of votes on 21-
It may be noted that the election of the new President of the country will be held on 18 July. The counting of votes will take place on July 21. The Election Commission had issued a notification for the Presidential election on June 15. According to which the date of nomination will be till June 29. These will be scrutinized by June 30 and candidates will be able to return their nominations by July 2. The opposition parties have declared Yashwant Sinha as their common candidate for the new President. In such a situation, Draupadi Murmu will compete with Yashwant Sinha for the new President of the country.

Kovind's term is ending on July 24-
Let us tell you that the term of the current President Ram Nath Kovind ends on July 24. The new president is to take an oath by July 25. In 2017, the presidential election was held on 17 July, in which Ram Nath Kovind was elected president with 65 percent of the vote. This time too the NDA has an easily win-win vote.
