National Desk: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday slammed the government citing a statement by Mahatma Gandhi about preparing to approve the use of anti-kovid vaccines manufactured abroad in India. He tweeted quoting a famous statement of Mahatma Gandhi, first he will ignore you, then laugh at you, then he will fight you, then you will win. Indeed, Rahul Gandhi had a few days ago urged the government to allow the use of vaccines manufactured abroad in India.
After this, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad accused him of lobbying for foreign companies. Significantly, in order to increase the availability of vaccines and speed up the vaccination in the country, the Central Government has expedited the process of approving authorized, foreign-made Kovid-19 vaccines for emergency use in other countries. The Union Health Ministry gave this information on Tuesday.
The ministry said that the health of the first 100 beneficiaries of such foreign-made vaccines would be monitored for seven days, after which these vaccines would be used in the vaccination program in the country. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi in another tweet remembered him on the birth anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the creator of the Constitution and said that India is now proving that it is possible to lag behind with time. He said, today we remember Babasaheb who solved such difficult questions which helped our country to walk on the path of progress.
