National Desk: An orgy of fire was seen near Kalindi Kunj metro station in Southeast Delhi. 53 huts were gutted in this incident. No casualty was reported in the fire, the official said.

A senior official of the fire department said that the incident took place on Saturday and the fire brigade got information about it at around 11.55 pm. He said that five fire tenders were sent to the spot at Madanpur Khadar near Kalindi Kunj metro station, the fire was brought under control at 3 pm.

At the same time, a day earlier, a fire incident came to light in a clothes showroom in Lajpat Nagar. As soon as the fire was reported, 30 fire tenders reached the spot, after which it was brought under control.

National Desk: The death toll in parts of Maharashtra rose to 113 on Sunday with 100 people missing after one more person died in the last 24 hours due to floods, landslides and other rain-related incidents. The state government gave this information. The government said in a statement that 50 people were also injured in these incidents. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday visited the severe flood-hit Chiplun in Ratnagiri district of Konkan region. A group of locals stopped the Chief Minister's convoy and told him about the problems being caused by the ravages of rain in the area.

The Chief Minister interacted with the residents, traders and shopkeepers and promised all possible help from the state government to restore normalcy in the area. Thackeray said he would need "central assistance for long-term relief work". He said he would visit western Maharashtra on Monday and a comprehensive data on the extent of damage would be prepared.
