The reverse effect of Uddhav Thackeray's appeal: 7 more Shiv Sena MLAs rebel, now more than 37 Shiv Sena MLA's strength with Shinde

The reverse effect of Uddhav Thackeray's appeal: 7 more Shiv Sena MLAs rebel, now more than 37 Shiv Sena MLA's strength with Shinde

Eknath Shinde, a minister in the Maharashtra government and leader of Shiv Sena in the assembly, compelled Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray as much as he had never seen before. In his address on the evening of 22 June, Thackeray was seen giving more clarification than answering the rebels. Not only this, hours after offering to step down, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray vacated his official residence in south Mumbai on Wednesday night and moved to his private residence 'Matoshree' in Bandra. It is worth noting that Thackeray has taken this step amidst Shinde's revolt two days ago and there is no easing of the attitude of the rebel MLAs. At present, Thackeray's appeal seems to be ineffective and after Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's address, four more MLAs have arrived with Shinde. In this way, it is now being told by Shinde that the number of MLAs of Shiv Sena has increased from 37 to about 39. For the first time in Maharashtra, in front of Shiv Sena, so much rebellion is being seen. Come, know what this development means for Shiv Sena and its veteran leader Uddhav in Maharashtra politics.

Tough test for Uddhav Thackeray
The first indication is clear that the Thackeray family has loosened its grip on the Shiv Sena. The departure of Chhagan Bhujbal, Narayan Rane, and Raj Thackeray was not as much a setback for Shiv Sena as Eknath Shinde has given Thackeray's leadership without leaving the party. This is a clear sign for Uddhav that his hold on the party and the MLAs has weakened. This has also damaged his reputation at the party. Dealing with such a big crisis for the first time arising out of the rebellion due to differences in Shiv Sena is the biggest test for the party chief and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray so far. This incident happened at a time when his health was not good. Now it will be a matter to be seen whether Uddhav Thackeray is able to convince Eknath Shinde and his supporters who have come on the revolt or not.
7 more Shiv Sena MLAs rebel after Uddhav Thackeray's address

There is a stampede among Shiv Sena MLAs after Uddhav Thackeray left the CM residence Varsha. Uddhav Thackeray's appeal did not work. Instead of going to him, MLAs are rebelling and reaching Shinde in Guwahati. A total of 7 more Shiv Sena MLAs have turned rebels since yesterday. The number of rebel Shiv Sainiks has now exceeded 37. It is believed that now more than 40 Shiv Sena MLAs have become rebels.

Devendra Fadnavis grew in height

The spark of rebellion in Shiv Sena was smoldering for a long time. This spark got wind in the elections to the Rajya Sabha and the Legislative Council. In Maharashtra, senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis managed to take advantage of differences in Shiv Sena. This was the reason that due to cross-voting in the Mahavikas Aghadi alliance, BJP got one extra member each in Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council elections.
It is directly linked to the successful outcome of Fadnavis's efforts. It is clear that his stature in Maharashtra BJP has increased further. Now it is also being speculated that Eknath Shinde, who rebelled against Shiv Sena, may join BJP's court along with his supporters.
Sharad Pawar's reputation also affected

The reputation of 81-year-old NCP chief Sharad Pawar, considered a political stalwart, has also been affected by the rebellion in the Shiv Sena. Pawar, who specializes in solving problems within his own party and that of allies, also failed to prevent cross-voting of the leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance in the Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council elections. Whereas, Pawar was instrumental in forming a Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress alliance to keep the BJP out of power in Maharashtra after the 2019 assembly elections. Not only this, but Sharad Pawar had made such a bet even after Ajit Pawar's rebellion in the NCP and forming the government with the BJP that the then Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had to resign after some time.

Eknath Shinde's political power increased
Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, who has entered politics as an auto driver, has made a sense of his power in the party by adopting a rebellious tone. Eknath Shinde gained importance in the party due to his close association with Shiv Sena leader Anant Dighe. Gradually his stature in the party increased. However, due to differences with the party leadership on some issues, he had been upset for some time. The result of this has been that he got down on the rebellion by taking some MLAs of the party along with him. Due to this move, the Maha Vikas Aghadi government of the state is facing a crisis.
