Uncontrolled Scorpio collides with container on Agra-Kanpur highway, traumatic death of 9 on the spot, 3 serious
Agra: In the horrific road accident in Etmadadoula area of Agra district in Uttar Pradesh, 9 people were killed while 3 others were seriously injured in a horrific road accident this morning. Superintendent of Police (city) Botre Rohan Pramod said that on Thursday morning on the Delhi-Kanpur highway, a high speed Scorpio car was going towards Mathura from Tundla. At the same time, in Etmaduddhala area, the speeding speed broke the Scorpio divider and went in the other direction and hit the container coming from Rambagh in Agra.
He said that the collision was so severe that 8 people died on the spot while 4 people were injured. The injured were admitted to the hospital, where one of the injured also died. There were 12 people in the Scorpio. All are residents of Gaya district of (Bihar).
He said that Sujit, Suraj Dev and Chhotu Kumar, who were injured in the accident, have been admitted to SN Medical College. He said that the accident was so gruesome that people trapped in Scorpio could be evacuated after nearly an hour of hard work. He said the dead included Guddu Kumar son Shivanandan Das resident Phulwaria, District Gaya Bihar, Bablu Prajapati, Vikas Kumar, Rajesh Nagendra Kumar Surendra Kumar, Aman, Vipin and Scorpio driver Anil. Pramod said that all the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
