Uproar at the residence of the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, proceedings started against 10 policemen
Ballia: Action has been initiated against 10 policemen for negligence in the case of uproar in the last five April at the residence of Anand Swaroop Shukla, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Uttar Pradesh. The police gave information about it.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Sadar) Jagveer Singh Chauhan told on Thursday that some women had attacked and vandalized the residence of Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Anand Swaroop Shukla on April 5. He said policemen Shatrughan, Rajesh Maurya, Durga Prasad Yadav, Bijendra Yadav, Abhishek Mishra, Sonu Yadav, Dharmendra Kumar, Rajan Pandey and Saudagar Yadav were deployed under the protection of the Minister of State. He said that prima facie it has been found by these policemen to be negligent in the security arrangements of the Minister of State. He said that a written request has been made to the Superintendent of Police to take action against these policemen on this.
In a letter sent to the Superintendent of Police, Chauhan also referred to the registration of a case in the above case. Meanwhile, the women accused in the case of commotion at the residence of Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Shukla reached the Superintendent of Police office on Thursday. He also released a copy of the letter addressed to the Superintendent of Police to the journalists. Rani Devi, a resident of Bankata locality of the Kotwali area of Ballia city, has accused the Minister of State Shukla and his colleagues as well as the police of misbehavior in the letter. The letter said that the women had gone to meet the Minister of State under the Child Education Rights Act, complaining of not providing any assistance to their children for two years.
During this, Shukla suddenly flared at him and his colleagues beat him badly, calling him abusive to women. It has been alleged that neither the medical inspection of the women injured due to the beatings was done nor any action has been taken on their letter so far. The women have filed a case against the accused including the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and demanded action. However, the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs has denied all the allegations made by the women.
