Kozhikode: Cricketer Robin Uthappa was awarded the National Excellence Award of IIM-Kozhikode (IIM-K) on Thursday for his contribution on the cricket field. These annual awards are being given for the third time. The award is given to people known for their contribution to the sport. According to an IIM-K release, the Calicut Half Marathon will be fully online this time from April 9 to 11.

 
In the last two years, the award was given to Paralympian and Arjuna Award winner Dr. Deepa Malik and noted wrestler Babita Kumari Phogat. Uthappa recalled the days when he shared the dressing room with legendary players like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag.
