Virat Kohli creates history, becomes first Indian batsman to make 10,000 in T20 cricket

 During the 39th league match of IPL 2021, RCB captain Virat Kohli completed his 10,000 runs in T20 cricket as soon as he completed 13 runs during his innings against Mumbai. Virat Kohli created history in this match and became the first batsman for India to complete 10,000 runs in T20 cricket. At the same time in the world, he became the fifth batsman in the world to touch this figure in T20 cricket. Before Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Shoaib Malik and David Warner have touched 10,000 runs in T20 cricket.

Virat Kohli achieved this feat in the 314th match of his T20 cricket career. Virat Kohli has earlier scored more than 10,000 runs in ODI cricket, first class cricket, List A as well. Virat Kohli is also the highest run-scorer for India in T20 cricket. Rohit Sharma is just behind him in terms of scoring the most runs in T20 cricket, who has 9348 runs in his name. Virat Kohli has so far scored 5 centuries and 73 half-centuries in T20 cricket.
