22 years old case against Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari, will now testify on 22

The process of testimony against Mukhtar Ansari, lodged in Banda Jail, could not start. Special judge MP/MLA cheating charges were framed against him on October 8 in a 22-year-old case. The testimony did not take place due to the non-appearance of the plaintiff of the case, the then SHO Shiv Shankar Shukla. The court has fixed October 22 for hearing. In the appearance held through video conferencing, Ansari told the threat of his life. On which the court directed the Principal Secretary to ensure necessary action.

In March 1999, police-administration officers raided the Central Jail. Mobile, bulletproof jacket was recovered from Ansari's barracks. A case was registered against Ansari on behalf of the then SHO Shiv Shankar Shukla under the sections of fraud and criminal conspiracy. Chargesheet was filed against him in the court. Ansari had applied for discharge from the charges against him in August this year. Which was rejected by the court on 22 September.

Ansari was produced through video conferencing on Tuesday in the court of Special Judge MP/MLA Neeraj Gautam. But the witnesses did not appear. The court has now fixed October 22 for hearing. Ordered the SSP to ensure the service of summons to the witnesses. On appearance, Ansari said that his life was in danger in the jail. The court directed the Principal Secretary and the government to ensure necessary action and inform them.
