He said that Kovid-19 infection has been confirmed in a total of 8490 new patients in the state during the last 24 hours. He said that 654404 people have been infected so far in the state. However 606063 of these patients have become infection free. Prasad said that at present 39338 patients are under treatment in the state. Out of these, 50% cases are from only four districts Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Kanpur. He said that more than two lakh samples have been tested in the state on Wednesday.
