Auraiya: 7 cattle were burnt to death while two cattle and a juvenile were burnt to death in a fire in the thatch of animal pallet made out of village in Bidhuna area of Auraiya district in Uttar Pradesh today. According to information received from official sources on Tuesday, 4 thatched roofs outside Udelapur village in Bidhuna's outpost Rurugunj area suddenly caught fire. On seeing the fire, it took a gigantic form, due to which two buffaloes, four goats, one cow tied in the body of Harishankar Dubey died by burning. That one buffalo got seriously scorched. 6 quintals of wheat, straw and household items kept there were burnt to ashes in the fire.
He said that apart from this, the fire spread to the ravine of Ravindra Dubey's animal farm nearby and a cow tied there was scorched and his household goods including wheat, garlic and cash were burnt. Meanwhile, while extinguishing the fire, 13-year-old teenager Ankur also got scorched.
The villagers allege that firefighters arrived a long time after the information and they were returned by the villagers from outside the village. The villagers had already extinguished the fire before this. The villagers allege that all the officers of the tehsil were informed but after four hours, no one reached the spot. There is anger among the villagers. Later, the villagers informed the District Magistrate about the incident, after which the District Magistrate assured to send the employees to the spot immediately.
