Alert in UP on the anniversary of structure demolition in Ayodhya, security tightened in sensitive districts
On December 6, 1992, the Uttar Pradesh Police has issued an alert regarding the anniversary of the demolition of Babri structure in Ayodhya. Apart from Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi, a large number of armed forces have been deployed in other sensitive districts and places of the state. Director General of Police Mukul Goel has also instructed the field officers to be vigilant and take extra vigil. Senior officers of the police-administration will constantly keep an eye on the situation by staying active. No organization will be allowed to organize any event outside the tradition.
Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said that all the units of the field have been informed after studying the circumstances. In this regard, the Director General of Police has also given necessary guidelines to the officers posted in the field through video conferencing.
He said that there are clear instructions of the government that no one will be allowed to organize any event which is out of tradition. Elaborate security arrangements have been made in this regard. 150 company PAC and six company CRPF have been deployed at various places in the state. This is in addition to the adequate number of armed forces deployed for the protection of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura.
Prashant Kumar has kept an eye on the situation by constantly visiting all the officers. Half a dozen organizations had made some announcements on December 6. After talks with them, these six organizations withdrew their declaration. Despite this, senior police-administrative officers are camping. It will be ensured that no event is held outside the tradition.
