what is the whole matter

On July 2, 2020, Vikas Dubey and his gang members attacked the police team that had come to press for their arrest in the village of Bikru in Chaubepur, Kanpur. Eight police personnel including the CO were martyred in the firing. While the police arrested the absconding criminals, seven accomplices including the main accused Vikas Dubey and Amar Dubey were killed in the encounter. At the same time, the police had arrested 37 accused and sent them to jail after registering a case against those involved in the whole incident and helping them. Amar Dubey's wife was also arrested in this case. He was booked for involvement in conspiracy and taking SIM from forged documents. She had got married three days before the incident and had come to Bikru village.

The case was transferred to the Juvenile Justice Board

The Chaubepur police had kept Amar Dubey's wife in the Maati Jail, but in the court, her father and lawyer had argued that she was a minor. After seeing and hearing the evidence, the case was transferred to the Juvenile Justice Board considering him as a minor. After this, the wife of accused Amar Dubey was also sent from Mati Jail to the State Observation Home in Barabanki. His health had also deteriorated in the Government Observation Home. Recently, his bail plea was rejected by the High Court.

After this, BSP's national general secretary Satish Mishra had talked about taking the matter to the Supreme Court. At the same time, Sanjay Singh of Aam Aadmi Party had also given a statement of cooperation in the hearing of the case in the Supreme Court. However, in the meantime, the Supreme Court has given notice to the UP government while accepting the bail petition filed by Congress Rajya Sabha member and senior Supreme Court advocate Vivek Tankha.

Mother sent from observation home to jail

The hearing of the case of Amar Dubey's wife is under consideration in the Juvenile Justice Board. She is now an adult, although she was a minor when the case was filed. The Juvenile Justice Board will take the final decision whether he is a minor or not as many trials and hearings have been held on this. Advocate Shivakant Dixit told that he has been brought to Maati Jail here. Staying here will make it easier to meet loved ones.
