Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav has accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of conspiring to influence the voting through fear and greed in the upcoming by-elections to the Gola Gokarnath assembly constituency of Lakhimpur Kheri and urged the Election Commission to take immediate action. demanded action. He said that for fair and free elections, the Election Commission should take immediate action on the tactics being used by the BJP leaders in this area to influence the voting through fear and inducement. The SP President made a serious allegation that 40 BJP ministers are present in the Gokarna Nath area with their security and are spreading terror. He said that especially Yadav policemen are being marked and sent on forced leave and government employees are participating in the election meetings of BJP candidates. Yadav said, "How can fair and free elections be held from the situation the BJP people are creating in the by-polls?"

Therefore, the Central Election Commissioner should immediately take cognizance of these complaints and take effective action and ensure the process of registering a case in cases of violation of the Model Code of Conduct. Yadav alleged that BJP leaders were harassing Samajwadi supporters and they were being threatened in various ways. He said that the election director of BJP candidate Shri Aman Giri and BJP MLA from Palia area, Harvinder Sahni is in open violation of the model code of conduct, and money and sweets are being distributed in the name of Diwali. It is worth mentioning that the Gola Gokarnath assembly seat fell vacant after the death of BJP MLA Arvind Giri from here on September 6. For this, voting will be held on November 3 under the by-election and the result will be declared on November 6. The ruling BJP has fielded Giri's son Aman Giri, while the SP has given a ticket to former MLA Vinay Tiwari.
