CM Yogi bluntly said this to the Commissioner of Police on the proposal to set up a commissionerate office in Kanpur Crystal Palace

CM Yogi Adityanath in Kanpur proposed police Kmisnaret office in the parade square at Crystal Palace chief Adityanath (CM Yogi Adityanath)  is not liked. When Commissioner of Police Asim Arun, who reached Kanpur on Wednesday, requested to consider the proposal of the office, he posed the opposite question whether it would be appropriate to make a commissionerate office in Mal. After getting the signal of the Chief Minister, the officers have now started considering two other options and soon the proposal of either of them will be sent to the government.

Since the implementation of the Police Commissionerate system in March 2020, the biggest crisis came to the fore regarding the office of the Commissioner of Police. At present, the Commissioner of Police is running the office from his residence and other officers have made arrangements for an alternate office. In view of the public facilities, there is a provision of offices and courts of all the high officials at one place in the commissionerate system. After long deliberations, the proposal of Crystal Palace located at Parade Square was sent to the government by the Commissioner of Police. Under this proposal, there is a plan to buy Crystal Palace from Kanpur Development Authority, for which the government will have to spend about Rs 100 crore. This proposal is pending in the government for a long time and the proposal is presently with the Finance Committee through various platforms.

Taking the opportunity during the Chief Minister's visit on Wednesday, Police Commissioner Aseem Arun requested him to flag off the office proposal. Here the Commissioner of Police requested and from there the Chief Minister raised the question, it would be good to have a Commissionerate office in Mal. Cabinet minister Satish Mahana, who was sitting with, tried to convince the Chief Minister that Crystal Palace is not a commodity, but the Chief Minister said, no, it is the same and would not be suitable for the Commissionerate office. The Commissioner of Police said that the Chief Minister has conveyed his decision in a gesture. After this, the discussion on new options has started. Apart from the UP Textile Corporation office building located at Gurudev Square, the UPSIC building at Fazalganj is being looked at as an alternative. Soon a proposal of any one will be made and sent to the government.
