CM Yogi said - Crime in the state decreased compared to the previous government

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said in the Legislative Council that crimes have reduced during his tenure compared to the previous government. Yogi, while answering the discussion on the Governor's address, said that every big investor in the world wants to invest in Uttar Pradesh today, because he knows that the law and order here is better.

He said that I am giving comparative figures of NCRB (National Crime Records Bureau) in the years 2016-17 and 2020-21. The robbery incidence has decreased by 65.72 percent. There has been a decrease of 66.15 per cent in robbery incidents, 19.80 per cent in murder incidents, 40.20 per cent in incidents of crime and 45.43 per cent in rape incidents. The Chief Minister said, "If we do comparative study between 2016-17 and 2020-21, then 27.55 percent more action has been taken under the Arms Act. 52.94 percent in NDPS Act, 31.09 percent in Gangster Act and 19.57 percent more action in Rasuka.

He said that if we look at the infrastructure facilities, the government has built 59 new police stations and 29 new posts. Apart from this, four women police stations, four police stations of economic crime, 10 vigilance police stations and 16 cyber crime police stations were formed. Yogi said that his government has built 69 fire stations and also constituted 40 anti-human trafficking units. Also constituted 218 poxo courts.
