Corona positive woman gives birth to child, seventh operation successful in Meerut Medical College

A caesarean delivery of a corona positive woman has been performed on Saturday at the Medical College of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. The 29-year-old woman is a resident of Brahmapuri, who was confirmed to Corona two days ago. Medical Nodal Officer Dr. TVS Arya told that the weight of the newborn is 2.7 kg. The first two children of this woman were also born by Caesarean operation. This time it was not possible to have a child without an operation. Dr. Anupam Rani, Assistant Professor, Department of Gynecology said that both mother and child are healthy. Everyone, including the Principal of the Medical College, Dr. SK Garg, have congratulated this team for the successful operation.

This is the seventh consecutive successful caesarean section operation of Kovid-19 positive women in the medical college. There are more Caesarean sections of Kovid-19 positive women in Meerut than in Agra Medical College in UP. The team of Anupam Rani, Parul and Dr. Renu of the Women and Obstetrics Department of Meerut performed the operation.
