Lucknow: General Secretary Bhavani Singh, co-organization of BJP's Uttar Pradesh unit, died on Wednesday from Corona virus infection. He was 54 years old. BJP sources said that Bhavani Singh had been infected with Corona in the past and was admitted to Lucknow PGI but his condition worsened due to increased chest infection. He said that after this he was airlifted by air ambulance to Hyderabad on Monday on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath where he breathed his last on Wednesday morning while undergoing treatment. Bhawani Singh, a native of Farrukhabad in the state, was also made in charge of Varanasi in the panchayat elections.

 BJP President JP Nadda expressed grief over Singh's demise and said that his departure was an irreparable loss to the organization and that God should be a place of virtue in his deeds. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also expressed deep condolences on Singh's death.
