Government determined to protect women and self-respect, says CM Yogi

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said today that the state government is committed to ensure the safety and self-respect of women. A presentation was made in connection with the progress of 'Mission Shakti' on the Chief Minister's official residence 5 Kalidas Marg, its second phase and the contribution made by various departments in it.
He said that the state government is committed to ensure the safety and self-respect of women. 'Mission Shakti' has been implemented with this objective. The upcoming 08 March is International Women's Day. Under this, under the 'Mission Shakti', various departmental events related to women's empowerment should be started from 26 February itself.
The Chief Minister said that this campaign has had a positive impact on the society and society is becoming more aware about the safety and self-respect of women. He instructed the revenue department to give the right of ownership under Gharauni to the woman of the house. The deployment of women workers in community toilets set up in rural areas should be done soon.
He instructed to set up a reporting post under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police in all the districts, where prompt action will be taken by registering information regarding crimes against women. He directed to effectively implement the Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana and the Chief Minister Group Marriage Scheme. It is noteworthy that 'Mission Shakti' was started from Shardiya Navratri last year. This campaign will run till Basantik Navratri 2021.
