Health services have become derailed due to the movement of contractual workers. The strike-demonstration of the contract workers of the department continued for the fourth day on Friday as well. After Diploma Pharmacist Association and State Employees Joint Council, ASHA organization has also given its support in this. During this, officials of various organizations also participated in the sit-in demonstration at the CMO office.
Due to the strike by the employees, many medical services like vaccination, blood test, TB test, X-ray etc. in rural hospitals including the district hospital are completely affected. Patients and relatives were seen wandering throughout the day. At the same time, the situation is expected to worsen from Saturday. From Saturday, the Diploma Pharmacist Association will also protest at the CMO office regarding their demands. Due to the performance of the members of the National Health Mission Contract Employees Association, the vaccination room, examination room, physiotherapy, medicine distribution, prescription room etc. of the district hospital remained closed.
Patients narrated the pain: The patients and relatives who arrived here had to go back in despair after waiting for hours. Ajay, who came to the hospital, told that he has come since morning, neither prescription nor medicine is being available here. Saurabh Kumar told that I have been running for three days but the operation is not being done. CMO Dr. Shrikant Sharma told that health service is affected by the strike. No action can be taken from the district level. Along with the district hospital, medical services are also affected at CHC and PHC.
On fulfillment of the demands, the movement will stop: Organization District President Vanshmani Pandey told that the contract workers are not getting equal honorarium. The protest will go on till the demands are met. Tributes were paid to the late worker Khushboo Yadav in the condolence meeting at the protest site on Friday. ANM Khushboo Yadav of Agra district, who was posted at CHC Ghughuli in Maharajganj district, was given such a distant posting. Outraged by this, he committed suicide. Here Dr. Asha Upadhyay, Dr. Amir Abbas, Dr. Brijesh, Vijay Upadhyay, Vivek Tiwari, Sandeep, Ranjit, Sarvesh, Arvind Pathak, Rajan Mathur, Saroj Giri, Manish Srivastava, Deepti, Sanjeev Singh were involved.
