The Lucknow bench of the High Court will hear the bail application of Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, the former mining minister, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital after being arrested in a corruption case on June 12. At the time of hearing Gayatri's bail plea, the court was told that she had been shifted from KGMU to PGI for treatment.
The former minister's advocate opposed this saying Gayatri was admitted to KGMU on the court's order. In such a situation, the government cannot shift them from their level to another place. Additional advocate general Vinod Kumar Shahi sought time from the court to file an answer to this. Accepting this, the court asked them to file an answer on the affidavit before the next hearing.
