There is a ruckus in the political parties regarding ticket distribution. A group of Congressmen has demonstrated on Thursday for the Kol seat of Aligarh. The supporters protested fiercely on Friday for not getting the ticket from the same seat to former SP MLA Jamir Ullah. The supporters gathered after Friday prayers at Jama Masjid in Jamalpur demanded the party high command to give ticket to Jamir Ullah. It has been warned that if Jamir Ullah does not get the ticket, then the party may have to bear a big loss, because Jamir Ullah has been a one-time MLA from here and is completely familiar with the area. The party high command should once again think about ticket distribution.
The Samajwadi Party had declared its candidates for the Kol and Shahar seats on Thursday. Salman Shahid was given a ticket on Cole. In 2012, Jamir Ullah became MLA from this seat defeating Vivek Bansal of Congress. Prior to this he was a city MLA. Aas Mohammad, Sabir, Amiruddin, Mujahid, Shoaib etc., who are demanding tickets for Jamir Ullah outside Jamalpur Jama Masjid, said that Jamir has been MLA for 10 years and has worked in public interest. By not giving them tickets, the party has not done justice. National President Akhilesh Yadav should give him a ticket. The people of the area also want the same. Among those who performed were Firoz, Shahrukh Malik, Sameer, Imran Khan, Sohail Ahmed, Saddam Khan etc.
Protests also took place in Bhujpura, Shahjamal, Rasalganj: There were also protests in Bhujpura, Shahjamal, Rasalganj, Maulana Azad Nagar, Shamshad Market for not getting ticket from Kol seat to Jamir Ullah. Villagers in Bhankari Ahivasi village of Kol assembly constituency went to the temple and prayed for Jamir to be given ticket.
