On Friday, a van rammed into a parked truck on the National Highway-19 Delhi via Etawah-Kanpur highway. This accident happened behind the SP office under Sadar Kotwali area. Four people were injured in this. Those who were hurriedly brought 50 beds to the district hospital for treatment. Seeing the condition not improving, doctors referred one of the injured to Uttar Pradesh Medical Sciences University Saifai. The reason behind the accident is said to be sudden nap of the driver.

The accident happened around 8.30 am on Friday. Bamba Road resident of Kotwali Kalyanpur Kanpur, 19-year-old Rajat's son Brijesh Agnihotri was returning to Kanpur by van along with mother Sudha after showing sister Manu from Medanta Hospital Gurugram. Due to the long journey, 21-year-old Himanshu, the van driver, suddenly had a nap. While coming to Kanpur via Etawah, the van rammed into a truck near Auraiya Khanpur intersection. In this, the mother and daughter got less injuries, The driver and Rajat were seriously injured. Those who were brought to 50 beds district hospital. When Himanshu's condition became more critical, he was referred to the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences Saifai Etawah. The police, who reached the information of the accident, took possession of the damaged van. As mentioned, the truck was stalled due to a problem with the axle. The accident took place due to the eye of the driver of the van coming towards Kanpur. Inspector Santosh Kumar Awasthi, in-charge of Sadar Kotwali said that the incident is being investigated. One of the injured has been referred to Saifai. At the same time, the relatives of the injured have been informed. Rajat was given first aid in the district hospital.
