In the National Sample Survey, 95 percent of the unorganized workers found in UP, now the government will solve the problem

Unorganized workers have been affected the most during the Korena transition period. According to the report of National Sampan Survey 2019-20, the number of unorganized workers in Uttar Pradesh is 95 percent and in the country this number is 16.5 percent. The government has taken the initiative to assess their problems properly and improve their standard of living.

After talking to the workers, according to their intention, the plans will be implemented. This responsibility has been given by the International Labor Organization to the Institute of Human Development, New Delhi. It will collect the data after talking to the workers and prepare a report and give it to the organization. In the first phase, survey will be conducted in eight districts of Uttar Pradesh namely Lucknow, Prayagraj, Jhansi, Ghaziabad, Siddharthnagar, Hardoi and Saharanpur.

Dr. Balwant Mehta, in-charge of the survey and Professor of the Institute of Human Development, New Delhi, said that the data will be prepared after talking to four thousand workers. More than 20 officers were trained at the Giri Institute in Aliganj. The survey will start in the districts from Thursday.

Free treatment up to five lakhs: Assistant Labor Commissioner Yashwant Kumar said that unorganized workers such as rickshaw pullers, farmers, insurance agents, tutors, shop salesmen and door-to-door workers and beauty parlor operators, including 156 types of unorganized workers. Registration is being done on the e-shram portal. Anyone working in the unorganized sector can register themselves online. Under this scheme of the Labor Department, the registered workers get insurance of two lakhs as well as cashless treatment up to five lakhs.

Workers in the age group of 16 to 59 years can register: Additional Labor Commissioner BK Rai informed that instructions have been given to all to make registration of workers working in the unorganized sector compulsorily on the e- shram portal. It is the effort of the Labor Department to give benefits to more and more unorganized workers. Workers between the age limit of 16 years to 59 years can register themselves.
