SC to hear again on Jamiat's petition today

In the petition against the bulldozer action, which will be heard in the Supreme Court today, Jamiat has alleged that the action of the bulldozer is being done only against a particular community. In response to this, the UP government said that this action is not related to the riots and that Jamiat is giving the wrong color to this matter. In its affidavit filed by the Uttar Pradesh government in the Supreme Court, it has been said that whatever action has been taken is as per the rules. Demand has also been made in the affidavit to dismiss the petition of Jamiat.

How did the controversy begin?

The whole controversy started after Nupur Sharma's comment about Prophet Mohammad. The violence took place in several cities of UP on June 10 in protest against the remarks against the Prophet. The policemen were also attacked during that violence after the Friday prayers. Many public and private properties were also damaged by the miscreants.

Action on Javed Pump

In Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government's bulldozer was in action for a long time, but after the violence, the illegal constructions of miscreants also came under the target of bulldozers. A bulldozer was also run on the luxurious house of Javed Pump, who is said to be the mastermind of the violence in Prayagraj and it was demolished. After such swift action in UP, the Muslim organization Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind came out in protest against the bulldozer action and the matter reached the Supreme Court.
