Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Avnish Awasthi said that today the idol of Mother Annapurna will be taken to UP. UP government will take out 4-day Mata Annapurna Devi Yatra till Varanasi. The idol will be installed in Vishwanath temple by CM Yogi Adityanath on November 15. At the same time, Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi said that an idol of Mother Annapurna, which was stolen from Varanasi about 100 years ago, was recently recovered from Canada. The idol will be installed at Kashi Viswanat temple on November 15. The Government of India will hand over the idol of Mother Annapurna to the UP government today.
