Bhatkhande Sanskriti University is preparing to add some new subjects and departments to its new session. In this culture (music, fine arts, acting, theatrical art, classical genre, folk art, archaeology, murals, various dances, Buddhist and Jain philosophy, Ramayana and Gita research, devotion, Kabir and Sufi philosophy, etc.) as well as three new departments. The university is planning to expand its Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA). The university may start 87 new courses from the academic session 2022-23 starting in July. At the same time, the departments of Visual Arts, Indian History and Culture, and Buddhist and Jain Studies will start new ones. The final decision regarding this will be taken in the meeting of the Education Council on Monday.
The admission process for the new session will start in the first week of July. Newly launched disciplines and departments are recognized by the University as autonomous cultural institutions like Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi, Bhartendu Natya Akademi, State Lalit Kala Akademi, Ayodhya Shodh Sansthan, Jain Research Institute, Buddha Research Institute, National Kathak Sansthan, Sant Kabir Academy will be provided.
The duration of the newly started courses will be done as per the National Education Policy. At present only seven to eight courses are running in BPA. There are also some value-added courses. These will be expanded. Tuhin Dwivedi, Registrar of Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya said that there are plans to start some such courses, which will help the students to learn the culture and heritage of our country in a better way. There are many such courses, for which people who want to study have to move to places like Varanasi, Gaya or Delhi.
Now there is an effort to make such courses available in Lucknow itself. In-depth study of many undergraduate and postgraduate courses like Pali, Prakrit, Manuscript and Epigraphy, Museology, Philosophy, and Religion will be possible only in Lucknow. All courses should be run on the basis of the new education policy, this is also the agenda of tomorrow's education meeting.
